Monk a Moo is known for having a very comprehensive online ordering system for the newest Marzocchi Forks. Marzocchi 2008 is here, and this year they have pulled out all the stops. The new features are as follows:
TST Micro (Terrain Selection Technology)is the evolution of the TST5 technology. It has infinite settings for a custom trail ride. With the micro adjuster at the top of the slider, the rider can change the range of the compression from DS (open) to CL (locked). You can find the feature on the following models: Marathon Corsa SL WC, XC 700 ATA, 55 ATA and the 55 ETA.
Nichel Coated Stanchionsare available on top-level models; this treatment, compared to anodization, allows for better resistance to wear and dirt and a smoother feeling.
A New Bushing system has been designed to reduce clearance between stanchions and monolite. The result is a mixed feeling of solidity and smoothness, and a significant noise reduction.
A Quick Release Axle is a completely new and re-designed blocking system; available on all 55 and 66 models, it allows for a quick release of the front axle, while mantaining a high safety level. You can find the feature on the following models: 55 ATA, 55 ETA, 55 R, 55 TST2, 66 ATA, and the 66 RC3.
SFA allows use one Schrader air valve on the top of the stroke for a perfect tuning of the positive and the negative air chambers. At the bottom of the leg a second Schrader air valve allow to modify the progression curve and to control the bottom-out. You can find the feature on the following models: Marathon Corsa SL WC.
ATA (Air Travel Adjust) integrates a dual rate air spring to simulate a coil spring compression curve as well as 40 mm of infinate travel adjustment. Use the Schrader air valve on top of the stroke to perfectly tune the positive and negative air chambers. At the bottom of the leg, a second Schrader air valve is used to modify the progression curve and to control the bottom-out. You can find the feature on the following models: XC 700 ATA, 55 ATA, 66 ATA, and the 888 ATA WC.
RC3 is Marzocchi’s most advanced technology. It features all the tuning capabilities for high performance racing, yet maintains a freeride feeling. Use the Rebound adjuster to control the extension and Position Sensitive Compression. High speed and low speed compression are controlled automatically by the bottom knob to change the range of compression. On the 888, it also features volume adjust. Change the internal air volume to virtually increase oil level. You can find the feature on the following models: 4X WC, 66 ATA, 66 RC3, 888 ATA WC, 888 RC3 WC, and the888 RC3.
TST2 (Trail Selection Technology) is the entry level version of the TST without the fine adjustment settings. TST2 has all the trail tuning benefits which equates to an enjoyable ride in any terrain and all riding styles. You can find the feature on the following models: XC 600 ATA2, XC 600 TST2, and the 55 TST2.
ATA2 is the simplified version of ATA. The Air Travel Adjust 2 futures an integrated dual rate air spring as well as 40 mm of infinite travel adjustment. This no-compromise Marzocchi technology uses only one air valve to control the spring rate at the top of the stroke. You can find the feature on the following models: XC 600 ATA2.
ETA is one of the most well-known and useful features developed by Marzocchi. The Extension Travel Adjustment keeps the fork compressed for easy climbing by simply turning the lever while maintaining 25 mm of active travel. You can find the feature on the following models: 55 ETA
The RV's The RV’s roots are from the super reliable SSVF. The new RV is an easy to use rebound adjustment that controls the speed of extension while keeping the wheel on the ground in all riding conditions. You can find the feature on the following models: MX Pro LO
The CV is the next level of the super reliable SSVF. The new CV is an easy to use compression adjustment to control the rate of compression and keeping the wheel sticking to the ground in all riding condition.
A Perfect start for beginning bike enthusiasts, the R valve is a simple rebound adjustment used to control the extension rate. One adjustment located at the bottom of the fork keeps the system easy to use and inexpensive for the customer. You can find the feature on the following models: MZ SuperComp, Dirt Jumper 1, Dirt Jumper 2, and the 55R.
The LO (Lock Out) cartridge allows to keep the fork compressed while mantaining a small amount of active travel; this is useful while riding on steep climbs. You can find the feature on the following models: MX Pro LO
