The Hope Mono M4s got a serious overhaul - There is a new “Moto” lightweight lever with a split clamp, that gives a smooth, progressive feel and more power, while providing an easy fitting. The integrated master cylinder reservoir makes it easier to bleed. The lever reach is also adjustable. Black hose and steel rotor are standard. The caliper is one cnc’d piece machined from solid billet of aluminium with stiffer caliper bridge and 3D machined pockets. Hope also made a more rigid caliper, which improved the feel of the lever. This year, the color is a silver caliper with black bore caps allowing access for servicing. The caliper pistons are phenolic to isolate the caliper from the heat generated in the pads. Hope also introduced a saw-style rotor, which is surely different than the other brands out there. 437 grams per side.
One Kit Includes: All rotors, standard black hose, levers, calipers, and hardware to outfit a front OR rear. Brakes are also pre-bled and ready to bolt onto your bike. If desired, we will also pre-install stainless hose on the brakes ($39.99 per side - choose option below.
Rotor Sizes Available: 203 or 183 MM for the front, and either 203, 183, or 160 MM rear.
The standard steel rotor can be upgraded to the two-piece floating rotor ($40.00 extra per side - covers front OR rear). The inner piece of the floating rotor now comes in all the Hope colors - Black, Blue, Red, Gold, Silver, and Gun Smoke. Please note that Black is always in stock and ships right away. All other colors ship with the brakes in two weeks.
If you choose the floating rotor upgrade, it will be shipped in black unless followed up with an email after checking out.
1. Choose Front Brake Kit: Select Rotor Size, # Bolts per Rotor, and Fork Mount (add appropriate quantity next to price).
Note #1: Brakes are normally made with the front lever on the left hand side of the handlebars and the rear on the right hand side. If you want the levers switched (Front - right and Rear - left), then just follow up the purchase with an email.
Note #2: The 5 bolt rotors are one piece steel. Kit comes standard with one piece steel rotors (5 or 6 bolt), NOT the two piece floating rotor; select the upgrade for the two-piece.
