Hope continues to innovate, and we Monk a Moo believe they have outdone themselves with latest M4 design. CNC’ed in Barnoldswick, England, the new Tech M4 replaces the award winning Mono M4 brake. The new ambidextrous “flip flop”
designed Tech Lever is machined from a single billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec alloy, and it has a split clamp for easy set up and positioning. It now has external on the fly
reach and bite point adjustment dials, and the new linkage allows no lever freeplay,
giving a consistent and reliable feel to the brake. Further developments include
bearing lever pivots for smooth, rock free use and increased lever ergonomics with a
perforated lever for extra grip and feel. A double sided resevoir lid makes for easy
bleeding. The two 9:74 caliper pistons are the same 16 mm size this year (as
opposed to a large and a small in previous years), and top entry pad fitting allows for
changing the pads without caliper removal. A drip free bleed nipple and wide angle
orientation of the fluid inlet connector have also been added, allowing for neater hose
routing and cleaner servicing. From 448 grams per side.
One Kit Includes: Rotor, standard black hose, lever, caliper, and hardware to outfit a front OR rear. Brakes are also pre-bled and ready to bolt onto your bike. If desired, we will also pre-install stainless hose instead of the standard black hose (choose option below).
Rotor Sizes Available: 203 or 183 MM for the front, and either a 203, 183, or 160 MM rear (we can also special order Rohloff or Coda compatible rotors upon request). Floating rotor inner piece comes in standard Hope colors Black, Blue, Red, Gold, Silver, or Gun Smoke. Please note that any color other than black can delay shipment time for up to two weeks as they are special orders.
Note #1: Brakes are normally made with the front lever on the left hand side of the handlebars and the rear on the right hand side. If you want the levers switched (Front - right and Rear - left), then just follow up the purchase with an email.
Note #2: Kit comes with one piece steel rotors, NOT the two piece floating rotor; select the floating rotor upgrade for the two-piece, and it will come with the kit instead of the standard one piece steel rotor.
