The Single Speed Trials Hub is a follow on to the development of Hope's awesome ratchet mechanism. This mechanism features a one piece steel rotor body and pawl carrier. Four pawls engage into a twenty-four tooth steel ratchet which is fixed into the hub shell and is sealed with a frictionless, non contact labyrinth seal. The axle runs on five cartridge bearings. The Single-Speed hub comes in either a Quick Release (for use with skewers, which can be purchased separately) or with 10mm bolts in each end of the axle to allow the hub to be held very securely in the frame.
